<div dir="ltr">Northland College, an environmentally focused liberal arts college on the <br>
beautiful shore of Lake Superior in Wisconsin, invites qualified educators <br>
to apply for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in geology. <br>

The College is seeking a surficial geologist who is dedicated to quality <br>
undergraduate education and involving students in research. The successful <br>
candidate will teach six courses per year, including Physical Geology, <br>
Landforms, Hydrology, Senior Capstone Research/Senior Seminar, and two <br>
other courses (possibly Glacial Geology) to be chosen by the candidate in <br>
consultation with the environmental sciences faculty.<br>

These courses will support the College’s liberal education program as well <br>
as major programs in geology, water science, and natural resources. The <br>
successful candidate will be expected to offer field-intensive or other <br>
experiential learning courses during the College’s May Term. The <br>
Environmental Sciences Department is expanding its use of GIS in classes, <br>
so experience with GIS/spatial analysis will be a plus.<br><br>
The successful candidate must be a dynamic educator dedicated to the <br>
liberal arts and interdisciplinary teaching, and have a demonstrated <br>
ability to help students at all levels understand and appreciate the <br>
far-reaching influences of earth processes.<br>

A PhD in geology is required (conferred by August, 2016). The position will <br>
begin in late August, 2016.<br>
