observational studies, manipulative experiments in growth chambers, greenhouse,
and/or field settings, and data synthesis performed at sites in Oklahoma, New
Mexico, and nearby areas of the southwest and south-central US.  These assistantships include tuition waivers
and health insurance.   </span></p>
