We seek two postdoctoral associates to lead data analysis and modelling efforts for ongoing watershed hydrology and biogeochemistry projects in the Hydrogeology Lab and the Watershed Science
& Hydroecology Lab at Michigan State University. One postdoc will lead efforts to improve coupled groundwater-surface water hydrology models and the second postdoc will lead efforts to model and predict solute flux patterns across watersheds. Both postdocs
will ultimately apply their models to evaluate regional and global change impacts on water resources. These labs represent a rapidly growing multidisciplinary team examining the influence of changes in climate and land use on water resources, coastal invasive
species, watershed nutrient and pathogen transport, near-shore harmful algal blooms, and the sustainability of agricultural practices. Michigan State University represents a large and vibrant community for water research.

include demonstrated knowledge of mechanistic modeling, geospatial analysis, machine learning, statistical modeling, and time series analysis. Strong computer programming skills (especially MATLAB, Python, R and/or FORTRAN) are required. A record of publications
and knowledge of catchment science is desired. We will begin reviewing applications on 1 December 2015, and the search will remain open until suitable candidates are found. Start date is flexible in 2016. For more information on these research groups, please
