Environmental Studies at Williams College invites applications for
a post-doctoral fellowship in Environmental Studies, beginning
July 1, 2016. We welcome applications from candidates who have
completed their PhD. within the last five years and also those who
have not yet completed their Ph.D. but will have the PhD. in hand
by the start date of the appointment.</p>

humanities or social sciences to contribute to the curriculum and
vitality of our interdisciplinary program. The successful
candidate will have training in one or more of the following
fields: history, anthropology, sociology, environmental studies,
cultural geography, public policy, economics, philosophy or a
related field. Candidates with expertise in agricultural
sustainability and food studies are preferred.</p>

of environmental scholars, practitioners and activists. Williams

will be appointed for a term of two years and will have a teaching
load of one course each semester. The baseline stipend for these
positions is $44,000 per year plus an allowance of $3,000 per year
for research and professional travel expenses. Fellows will also
be provided with full benefits including health and dental
insurance. These positions are made possible by a grant from the
Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.</p>
