              Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental
              Sciences ( CIRES ) and the Dept. of Chemistry &amp;
              Biochemistry at the University of Colorado Boulder seek a
              full-time Professional Research Assistant to work as
              shared Lab/Logistics Assistant. The successful candidate
              will perform tasks on group administration, ordering and
              purchasing, basic instrument support, chemical and
              radiation proctoring, field study and meeting support,

              field, and computational research in the areas of air
              pollution, atmospheric chemistry, and instrumentation

              Detailed Job Description<span

              The Lab/Logistics Assistant will perform the following
              tasks for all or some of the 3 research groups. Training
              will be provided as required.<span
                class="Apple-converted-space"> </span><br>
              <br>
               Perform general lab administration, such as working with
              new and departing group members, managing group property
              and supplies, general shipping, coordinating equipment and
              building maintenance issues, moving equipment and shipping
              boxes to / from storage locations, coordinating visitor
              logistics &amp; schedules, and similar tasks.<span

               Organize, maintain, and co-ordinate repair of
              laboratory, field, and instrument computers, as well as
              data servers, CPU clusters, and their connections.<span

               Maintain and expand web &amp; wiki pages for the groups,
              including simple web-based databases.<span
                class="Apple-converted-space"> </span><br>
              <br>
               Perform basic monitoring, maintenance, and calibration
              of research-grade instruments.<span

              <br>
               Coordinate and co-organize field and lab campaign
              logistics, shipping, setup, operation, repairs, and
              teardown.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span><br>
              <br>
               Perform logistical planning including organization of
              meetings (including web-enabled meetings) and organizing
              group travel to conferences and field studies.<span

               Serve as purchaser for lab and field supplies, and
              reallocating those purchases to the appropriate grants in
              the CU accounting software system.<span

               Serve as proctor for environmental health and safety,
              including ordering chemicals, maintaining the chemical
              database for each lab, supervising the correct storage of
              chemicals in the labs, coordinating with CU for disposal
              of chemical waste, and acting as lab eco-leader.<span

               Serve as proctor for radiation safety, including
              monitoring low-level radioactive sources used in research,
              coordinating permits and administration with CU, as well
              as the transport of sources between labs at CU and the
              shipment of sources to / from field studies.<span

               Keep track of hours spent working for each group and
              tasks pending using shared computer software.<span

               Perform other tasks that may develop within the research

              working hours (9AM-5PM) and occasionally work more
