<div dir="ltr"><span style="font-size:12.8px">The Niskanen Center, a 501(c)(3) public policy organization in Washington, D.C., seeks a climate scientist to join our staff on a full-time basis. The position entails remaining abreast of the climate science literature, informing the Center’s carbon tax advocacy work, and popularizing mainstream scientific views to conservative audiences. Evaluating scientific arguments forwarded by climate “skeptics” and providing thoughtful responses in print and broadcast media is a key focus of this position. Candidates should be prepared to devote at least two years to the position, have a Ph.D in atmospheric science, earth sciences, or other disciplines directly related to the climate change, and an appetite for debate and public engagement. Agreement with libertarian policy positions advocated by the Center in non-climate policy arenas is not a requirement.
