at McGill University invites applications for a tenure-track position
at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning as early as January 2016
in the area of Global Biogeochemical Changes. The successful candidate
will be supported by a generous start-up package.</p>
<p>We seek a candidate who applies quantitative techniques to interpret
records of environmental change on a range of time scales and their
impact on global/planetary biogeochemical cycles. Applicants should have
a proven record of excellence in research and the capacity for
excellence in teaching. Applicants should submit a detailed curriculum
vitae, a statement of teaching interests, and a research plan. They
should also arrange for three letters of reference. All these materials

de l’Université McGill invitent des candidatures pour un poste de
professeur au rang d’adjoint menant à la permanence, dans le domaine des
changements biogéochimiques globaux. La date d’entrée en fonction
pourrait être dès janvier 2016. Une substantielle subvention de
démarrage sera offerte au candidat retenu.</p>
<p>Nous recherchons des candidats qui appliquent des méthodes
quantitatives à l’étude des changements environnementaux à diverses
échelles temporelles, tels que détectés dans les registres
sédimentaires, et qui en évaluent les impacts sur les cycles
biogéochimiques globaux ou planétaires. Le candidat doit posséder un
excellent dossier de recherche et avoir démontré un potentiel
d’excellence en enseignement. Le dossier du candidat doit inclure un
curriculum vitae détaillé, un énoncé de sa philosophie d’enseignement,
un plan de recherche et trois lettres de recommandation. Ces documents
