Lutheran University invites applications for a tenure-track position in
environmental geology at the level of Assistant Professor to teach beginning
September 1, 2016. Applications are welcomed from candidates with research and
teaching interest over a wide spectrum of environmental geology who can teach
hydrogeology, develop a field-oriented research program, are interested in
involving undergraduate students in research, and are willing and able to
contribute to our departmental field trip course.&nbsp;&nbsp; Areas of expertise that complement the areas
of expertise of the current faculty are of particular interest.&nbsp; Enthusiasm for interdisciplinary research and
cultivation of new collaborations will be an asset in the position. We are
seeking a person with a commitment to excellence in teaching at a predominately
undergraduate institution, collegiality and flexibility to meet the needs of
our students and the program, and a dedication to establishing a field-based
research program that engages students. Participation in extended field trip
experiences, the general education program, and mentoring senior capstone
research projects is also expected.&nbsp; <span style="background:white" class="">Ph.D.in Geology or closely related field is required.<span class="apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span><span class="caps">ABD</span><span class="apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>will be considered, but Ph.D. must be

aquifer tests and a nearby off-campus site with six observation wells and a
