Technologies, a leading manufacturer of atmospheric
research instrumentation has an immediate opening for a
Senior Software Development Engineer. The Software
Engineer will report to the Director of Engineering and
will work with the engineering team to develop new
instrumentation. This position will also interface with
manufacturing as a resource to insure that instruments
are manufactured and functioning within the quality
standards defined by the science and engineering team.</p>
<p style="margin: 0px 0px 1em;"><b style="unicode-bidi:
embed;">Responsibilities:<span
class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></b><br>
Candidate will design and develop LabVIEW applications
and embedded systems to create user interfaces for new
scientific instrumentation as well as maintain existing
code bases. Participate in design reviews with peers and
representatives of other functions, including marketing,
sourcing, manufacturing, and quality. Perform
verification of all designs in accordance with
established procedures. Support the complete product
lifecycle from concept to delivery and provide customer
support. Provide project or task management, including
documentation support.</p>
<p style="margin: 0px 0px 1em;"><b style="unicode-bidi:
embed;">Required:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>5+ years of experience developing object oriented
applications and embedded systems</li>
<li>3+ years of experience integrating test hardware,
sensors and interfaces through LabVIEW platforms</li>
<li>BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer
Science or equivalent experience</li>
<li>Proficiency programming in LabVIEW, C/C#</li>
<li>Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems</li>
<li>Experience with standard digital communications
interfaces, including Ethernet, USB, RS-485, and
RS-232</li>
<li>Experience implementing PID control systems</li>
<li>Ability to write design specifications consistent
with sound engineering principles and established
procedures</li>
<li>Possession of excellent project management skills,
analytical skills, problem solving skills, and
engineering curiosity</li>
<li>Ability to be enthusiastic, motivated, and
self-driven</li>
<li>Possession of excellent oral and written
communication skills</li>
</ul>
<p style="margin: 0px 0px 1em;"><b style="unicode-bidi:
embed;">Desired:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience with computer-controlled
sensors/instrumentation, and computer-based data
acquisition systems</li>
<li>Data analysis skills</li>
<li>Python, QT, py QT experience</li>
<li>Experience with Agile Software Development</li>
<li>Experience configuring Linux kernels for embedded
platforms</li>
<li>Experience designing in an ISO9001 manufacturing
environment</li>
