<p style="margin:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt">The Department of Biosystems Engineering and Soil Science at the University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture (Knoxville, TN) is seeking to fill a postdoctoral level position in Microbial Ecology or Biogeochemistry.
The applicant will research microbial communities involved in decomposition of carrion and cadavers, seeking to understand how these microbial communities control nutrient recycling of vertebrate mortalities in terrestrial ecosystems. This interdisciplinary
NSF-funded project will involve both laboratory and field work; field sites include the UT
<a href="http://fac.utk.edu/">Anthropology Research Facility</a> and UTIA <a href="http://taes.tennessee.edu/centers/">
Research and Education Centers</a>. The position is full time and offers a competitive salary and benefits commensurate with experience.
