Departmentof Natural Sciences offers B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. interdisciplinar=<br>
y programs inMarine-Estuarine Environmental Sciences (MEES), and a Professi=<br>
onal ScienceMaster=E2=80=99s degree in Quantitative Fisheries and Resource =<br>
Economics.=C2=A0 TheDepartment also hosts the Center for Research Excellenc=<br>
e in Science andTechnology (CREST)-Center for the Integrated Study of Coast=<br>
al EcosystemProcesses and Dynamics funded by NSF.=C2=A0 Salary for the posi=<br>
tion iscommensurate with qualifications and experience.<br>
Responsibilities: The Program Manager assists theCenter Director in adminis=<br>
tering the LMRCSC.=C2=A0 He/she oversees tracking ofthe budget; implements =<br>
awards in accordance with 2CFR200; acts as budgetliaison between LMRCSC and=<br>
the Office of Sponsored Research and Programs atUMES and those at LMRCSC p=<br>
artner institutions; compiles data that can be usedto describe Center activ=<br>
ities; coordinates processing of subcontracts betweenUMES and LMRCSC partne=<br>
rs; coordinates the flow of information between CenterDirector at UMES and =<br>
Project Directors at Center institutions; tracks studentprogress; develops =<br>
Request for Proposals (RFP) and assists in the proposalreview process; recr=<br>
uits students; identifies and disseminates internshipopportunities for stud=<br>
ents; prepares undergraduate and graduate studentcontracts; coordinates pla=<br>
nning and execution of webinar/seminar events; assistsin coordinating LMRCS=<br>
C meetings; assists in the development of the LMRCSC=E2=80=99snewsletter; a=<br>
nd helps maintain the website. Performs other related duties asassigned.<br>
Qualifications:=C2=A0 B.S., M.S. or Ph.D. degree ina natural science, physi=<br>
cal science or social science discipline required.Candidates with master=E2=<br>
=80=99s or doctoral degrees, experience in managing budgetsand knowledge of=<br>
NOAA grants management processes are preferred. The successfulcandidate mu=<br>
st have excellent written and oral communications skills as well asinterper=<br>
sonal skills.<br>
