position serves as a Geodesist, involved in observing,
reducing, adjusting, and analyzing geodetic survey data to
produce latitudes and longitudes; and orthometric, geoidal
and ellipsoidal heights. The duties include but are not
limited to the following:<span

· Conducts research and development of techniques,
products, and services that support and improve defining,
maintaining, and accessing the National Spatial Reference
System.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span><br>
<br>
· Develop physical models that accurately describe the
orbital mechanics of Global Navigation Satellite Systems
(GNSS), the propagation of their radio signals, and the
dynamics of the national and international tracking
networks to improve GNSS data processing software.<span

· Maintain and improve the International Terrestrial
Reference Frame (ITRF) as the fundamental basis for the
National Spatial Reference System (NSRS).<span

· Use engineering and scientific programming to develop,
test, maintain, and refine GNSS software in order to
improve station positioning, GNSS orbit estimation and
reference frame maintenance.<span

(IGS) and Continuously Operating Reference Station (CORS)
Networks sites; experiential knowledge of least squares
adjustment, orbital mechanics, and linear algebra; and
communicating complex issues pertaining to the science of
geodesy to a broad range of stakeholders.<span
