<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN">We are seeking to appoint a Professor in Sedimentary Geology. You will be a world-leading researcher and excellent communicator wanting to join a thriving group
of Earth scientists at a Russell Group University. You will have a desire to lead and build a sedimentary geology research group with applications in the broad areas of Petroleum Geology, Basins, Marine Geology, Quantitative Sedimentology and Process Stratigraphy.
You will be joining an existing group of active researchers, which will be expanded with additional academic staff after your appointment, in order to develop new and existing areas of research in the field of sedimentary geology. The School’s ambition is
to excel at research, you should have world-leading publications in international, peer-reviewed journals and a proven record of winning competitive research grants from Government research councils and industry. You will contribute to the teaching of our
BSc and MESci undergraduate Geoscience programmes and a new MSc in Petroleum Reservoir Geoscience. The post is available from 1 September 2015.<u></u><u></u></span></p>
