<p>The Department of Geology at Bucknell University, Lewisburg,
PA, invites applications for an entry-level, visiting assistant
professor in Geology; Ph.D. or ABD required. The position is for
the fall semester, 2015. Qualified applicants for this visiting
position will have no more than four years of full-time
postdoctoral teaching experience at the time of appointment. We
seek applicants with a demonstrated ability to successfully work
with a diverse student body. Familiarity with Appalachian
geology is desirable.</p>
<p>The visiting professor will teach two physical &
environmental geology lecture sections and two accompanying lab
sections. The physical & environmental geology course is
taught at the introductory level and serves both majors and
non-majors. Each section is capped at 24 students.</p>
<p>The Geology Department offers B.A. and B.S. degrees in Geology
and Environmental Geology. Bucknell's geology program is field
intensive and we expect candidates to make use of local
Appalachian field opportunities for labs in the courses.</p>
