approve major proposals submitted by the division; allocate funding to business development, internal research and development, and other special purposes.</li><li>Identify interdivisional collaborative opportunities within Southern Research that maximize the generation of revenue and IP.</li><li>Provide management oversight to the implementation and operation of the Institute Quality Policy within the division.</li><li>Provide management oversight within the division to the implementation and operation of procedures and practices defined in the Institute Health and Safety Manual.</li><li>Propose, develop, and implement changes in practices and procedures in order to deliver the highest quality research, products, and services to customers.</li><li>Manage staff assigned to the division by hiring, developing, appraising, and motivating division senior management and technical staff.
