Buckley, focused on the topic of “Impacts of Nitrogen Deposition on Microbial Community Carbon Dynamics in Forest Soils”. The research is funded by USDA-NIFA award (2014-67019-21553). This research requires a Ph.D. level scientist with skills in molecular microbial ecology and bioinformatics. The position will be responsible for Stable Isotope Probing of nucleic acids from soil microbial communities to track the flow of carbon into microbial communities over time. Responsibilities will include laboratory bench work, data analysis, computer and server management consistent with the needs of data analysis, and writing and editing of scientific papers. Responsibilities will also include training and supervising graduate and undergraduate students when necessary.
