 it pertains to organic maturation, but also to the relative timing of cementation and fluid flow through the reservoir. The carbonate group at Imperial College has an opening for a PhD candidate who will be tasked with investigating the feasibility of combining

 to measure temperatures in several components of carbonate cores. This will constrain the thermal history of the basin. In addition, the candidate will also test various radiogenic parent/daughter isotope systems in order to select the most appropriate one
 to obtain absolute dates. The goal is to test the feasibility of combining clumped isotopes temperatures with absolute geological ages, in order to build a well-constrained burial curve. </span></p>
