        Superior State University&#8217;s Department of Geology and Physics
        invites applicants for a visiting faculty, one semester, full
        time position beginning January, 2015. There is also the
        possibility of appointment to a 3 year full time position which
        is renewable pending funding and the candidate&#8217;s background. We
        seek an enthusiastic, highly motivated, and broadly trained
        faculty to teach introductory physics and introductory
        geoscience. Teaching assignments may include conceptual physics,
        first year physics lab, introductory geoscience labs and/or
        other courses depending on the candidate&#8217;s background. The LSSU
        Geology and Physics Department has a strong record of
        student-faculty research in paleontology, climate change, and
        geomagnetism and the successful candidate will have the
        opportunity conduct research with undergraduates. The successful
        candidate must have a minimum of a M.S. or <span class="caps">ABD</span>
        in Physics, Geophysics, Hydrology, Geology, Earth Science
        Education or a closely related field. Qualifications to teach
        mineralogy/petrology or GIS or additional courses offered by the
        School of Physical Sciences and successful undergraduate
        teaching experience are a plus.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
