              The individual selected for this position will:<span

                <li>Develop instrumentation, perform aerosol
                  measurements relevant to air quality and climate,
                  including black carbon aerosol in the atmosphere and
                  in the cryosphere, and including bioaerosol.</li>
                <li>Analyze and evaluate atmospheric aerosol data and
                  write key papers that improve our scientific
                  understanding in multiple climate and air quality
                  research areas.</li>
                <li>Participate in the design, execution, and analysis
                  that leads to communication in peer-reviewed journals
                  of results from research studies of atmospheric
                  aerosols relevant to air quality and climate.</li>
                <li>Participate in atmospheric field experiments
                  involving ESRL/CSD to investigate aerosol processes,
                  including emissions, relating to air quality and
                  climate.</li>
                <li>Participate in and help lead/coordinate within
                  ESRL/CSD the scientific discussions on future aerosol
                  research directions to help management ensure that
                  strategic research goals of NOAA and ESRL/CSD are met.</li>
                <li>Interact with other agencies/academia/others to
                  assemble the needed research expertise and
                  plan/coordinate the science and management of
                  atmospheric composition research, particularly
                  research involving black carbon aerosol and
                  bioaerosol, related to air quality and climate.</li>
                <li>Prepare written and verbal summaries and other
                  visual materials describing scientific research
                  findings from research studies in atmospheric
                  composition, particularly involving aerosols, related
                  to air quality and climate that are relevant to
                  policy/decision-maker discussions.</li>

                  and plans for potential future atmospheric composition
                  research projects, particularly those involving black
                  carbon aerosol and bioaerosol, related to air quality
