<section class="grid_11 prefix_2 suffix_1 alpha">
<p>The Department of Earth Sciences, University of Cambridge, is
seeking a Post-doctoral research associate (PDRA) in
geochemistry to support an exciting new programme in the study
of mineral hydration water. The programme is funded by the
European Research Council and the PDRA is renewable for up to 3
years. Ideally the candidate would start in March 2015. </p>
<p>Applications are invited from candidates with relevant
expertise in geochemistry, preferably with a strong background
in analytical method development employing innovative techniques
involving oxygen and hydrogen isotopes of water and hydrated
minerals. This project requires a significant amount of hands-on
work with instrumentation, and experience with high vacuum
lines, cryogenic distillation, isotope ratio mass spectrometry,
thermal gravimetry, and cavity ringdown laser spectroscopy is
desirable. </p>
<p>The candidate will have a PhD and have relevant experience in
geochemistry and paleoclimatology, good communication skills,
the ability to work in a team, and a track record of publication
in peer-reviewed journals. </p>
<p>Enquiries concerning this position should be directed to Prof.
David Hodell (<a href="mailto:dah73@cam.ac.uk">dah73@cam.ac.uk</a>).</p>
<p>Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 1 years
