The National Ecological Observatory Network (NEON) is accepting
applications for a two-year full-time Associate Scientist to help
develop a pair of citizen science projects centered around camera images
of vegetation landscapes (such as forests, grasslands, deserts, etc.).
One project will take advantage of an existing network of automated
cameras (PhenoCam) and the other will focus on volunteer-generated
images using an existing smartphone app. In both cases, we are
interested in how the vegetation changes seasonally and over the years,
with implications for carbon storage and climate change.
