of Scientific Visualization Developer. This position will support the<br>
development of research capacity in visualization and transdisciplinary<br>
computational science and engineering. The primary responsibility of the<br>
Scientific Visualization Developer is to support researchers (faculty,<br>
post-docs, staff, students) in developing novel visualizations of research<br>
and outreach outputs of human/environmental science interactions for the<br>
recently funded 5-year NSF Managing Idaho’s Landscapes for Ecosystem<br>
Services (MILES) project. At the end of the grant period, this position will<br>
more broadly serve the research community across the Boise State campus in<br>
visualization and computations science and engineering.<br>

You will have the opportunity to:<br>
<br>
* Create novel visualization solutions for multi-scale socio-biophysical<br>
data<br>
* Develop visualizations to engage project stakeholders<br>
* Develop open-source software solutions for mobile, web, desktop, and<br>
supercomputing platforms<br>
* Deploy visualization solutions used by a range of skill levels to improve<br>
understanding of the human/environmental science interface<br>
* Create new Big Data analyses for social and biophysical networks<br>
* Work with researchers on best practices for communicating science with<br>
visualization, in collaboration with Boise State’s Office of Information<br>
Technology and Idaho’s Cyberinfrastructure Advisory Council for higher<br>
education<br>
* Collaborate in preparation and writing of grant proposals to further<br>
enhance visualization capacity and advance visualization<br>
