<p>> The ICTJA-CSIC has an opening for a full-time postdoctoral researcher under the Postdoctoral Formation Program call of the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness (MINECO). The position requires a PhD in Geology, Geochemistry, or similar field obtained after September 1, 2009 and expertise in the application of isotopic and chemical techniques, with specific emphasis on the use of ICP-MS and LA-ICP-MS. <br>

> The candidate may not have conducted the predoctoral training in ICTJA-CSIC, and cannot have been beneficiary of Juan de la Cierva and Ramón y Cajal calls. <br>

> The successful applicant will in part, join an exciting MINECO-funded project of analysis of the geochemical impact of high explosive volcanic eruptions. A basic goal of the research is to understand the geochemical input on the environmental systems of an eruption using leaching experiments. Highly motivated candidates with strong analytical skills are encouraged to apply and to incorporate their interests into the project. Demonstrated experience in the ICP-MS and LA-ICP-MS analyses will be emphasized. A demonstrated record of publishing in peer-reviewed journals is required. <br>

> The post-doc will work closely and under the direction of Dr. Jose-Luis Fernandez-Turiel. The position is for 24 months, beginning as early as January 2015 with the possibility of renewal pending funding. The gross salary is 26,700 euros/year. <br>
