computer simulation, as required by the Federal Clean Air Act (FCAA) amendments of 1990 for State Implementation
Plans and other air quality technical projects. Conducts basic collection, analysis and quality assurance of raw
emissions inventory or meteorological data necessary to conduct photochemical air pollution modeling required by the
FCAA amendments. Executes emissions or meteorological preprocessors with peer review by senior staff prior to input
to photochemical air pollution computer modeling required for State Implementation Plans. Prepares written reports,
plans or other technical documentation for the Environmental Protection Agency, the public and other stakeholders
regarding results of photochemical air pollution modeling or other activities of the Air Modeling team. Answers basic
questions related to air pollution photochemical modeling, emissions inventory development and processing from
other agency divisions, management and stakeholders.
</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 10.000000pt; font-family: 'Verdana'; font-weight: 700">Minimum Qualifications:
</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 10.000000pt; font-family: 'Georgia'">A bachelor's degree in engineering, a basic or natural science, mathematics, or related field from an accredited college
or university (COPY OF OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED WITH APPLICATION).
</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 10.000000pt; font-family: 'Verdana'; font-weight: 700">Preferred Requirements:
</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 10.000000pt; font-family: 'Georgia'">Experience manipulating databases for input to computer simulations or visualization software.
Experience collecting, analyzing or processing raw emissions or meteorological data.
Experience developing reports, letters, or other technical documents.<br>
Experience making presentations, communicating with customers verbally or in writing.
Experience using word processing, spreadsheet and/or database software.
</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 10.000000pt; font-family: 'Georgia'">Experience solving problems by writing computer programs.
Experience with the Linux operating system.
</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 10.000000pt; font-family: 'Verdana'; font-weight: 700">Special Requirements:
</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 10.000000pt; font-family: 'Georgia'">Moving up to 10 pounds of papers/reports.
Traveling up to 10% of the time.
</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 10.000000pt; font-family: 'Georgia'">The agency will review the applicant’s driving history in connection with the use of a vehicle in the performance of the
