British Antarctic Survey (BAS), part of the Natural Environment
Research Council, aims to undertake a world-class programme of
scientific research, and to sustain for the UK an active and
influential regional presence and a leadership role in Antarctic
affairs. <br>

BAS is looking to appoint a Data Analyst (Antarctic air/snow
chemical flux study) to develop nitrogen oxide (NOx) flux
estimates using existing year-round data sets from Halley
(coastal Antarctica) and compare to observations from Dome C
(Antarctic Plateau) in the light of differences in local surface
snow chemistry, atmospheric boundary layer dynamics and other
environmental factors. Expected output is write up of one
manuscript for publication in a relevant peer reviewed journal
(e.g. ACP, JGR, Atmospheric Environment).<o:p></o:p></span></p>

Qualifications: Good first degree (2.1 or above) in Chemistry,
Physics or relevant quantitative environmental science plus PhD
involving atmospheric chemistry or physics<o:p></o:p></span></p>

Duration: 12 Month Fixed Term Appointment<o:p></o:p></span></p>

Salary: Salary will be in the range of £26,715 to £30,000 per
annum. We offer a generous benefits package including a defined
