<div dir="ltr"><p>The Department of Earth Sciences, University of Cambridge, is seeking
a post-doctoral research associate in geochemistry to support an
exciting new programme, funded by the European Research Council,
involving the study of mineral hydration water for palaeoclimatology and
exploration of Mars. </p>
<p>Applications are invited from candidates with relevant expertise in
environmental geochemistry, preferably with a strong background in
analytical methods and development of innovative techniques involving
oxygen and hydrogen isotopes of water and hydrated minerals. Analytical
experience in thermal gravimetry, mass spectrometry, cavity ringdown
laser spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, and FTIR is desirable. The
candidate will have a PhD and at least 2 years of relevant experience in
geochemistry and paleoclimatology, and a strong record of publication
in peer-reviewed journals. </p>
<p>Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 3 years in the first instance.</p>
