</span></b><span style="font-size:12.0pt; font-family:Arial">at Northern Arizona University is seeking a full time, non-tenure track Lecturer, with an appointment beginning in August 2014. The nine-month position is not tenure eligible, but may be renewable
based on satisfactory performance and School needs.</span></p>

<p class="x_MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><span style="font-size:12.0pt; font-family:Arial">The successful applicant will teach two ENV101 (Introduction to Environmental Science) classes, and one to two additional classes, each semester. Additional
responsibilities include coordinating laboratory sections in conjunction with the lab manager, curriculum development and management, and serving as liaison for the Ecohouse Learning Community on campus.</span></p>

<p class="x_MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><span style="font-size:12.0pt; font-family:Arial">Minimum qualifications for the position include: a PhD in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Studies, Ecology, or related interdisciplinary field as of August
1, 2014; and two years of demonstrated teaching experience at the undergraduate level. Preferred qualifications for the position include:
</span><span style="font-size:12.0pt; font-family:Arial">a record of substantial and continued effectiveness in teaching; demonstrated experience designing and teaching introductory environmental sciences and studies courses for undergraduate students; demonstrated
experience teaching traditional and hybrid classes using state of the art technology, including novel pedagogy techniques; demonstrated success teaching undergraduate science classes intended for non-majors<span style="color:red">
</span>in natural or physical sciences; demonstrated experience in environmental policy and/or environmental management; demonstrated experience in the application of broadly interdisciplinary approaches to environmental problem solving; academic training in
more than one disciplinary field; and experience working with people from culturally diverse backgrounds.</span></p>

<p class="x_MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><span style="font-size:12.0pt; font-family:Arial">Faculty in the School of Earth Sciences and Environmental Sustainability (SESES) are committed to teaching and research excellence, and to providing the highest
quality educational experiences in the classroom, field, and laboratory. The school offers degrees of Bachelor of Science and Arts, Master of Science, and a new interdisciplinary PhD. SESES Environmental Programs include undergraduate degree programs in Environmental
Sciences, Environmental Studies, and graduate programs in Environmental Sciences and Policy and in Climate Sciences and Solutions.</span></p>
