<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify">Applications
are invited for a postdoctoral research position in Earth System Modeling in
the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of
Michigan. The research will be broadly in the area of paleoclimate, with a
focus on understanding the causes of climate change through Earth history and
at critical transitions. Applicants with a Ph.D. in climate science,
atmospheric science, paleoclimatology, or a related field are encouraged to
apply. Preference will be given to candidates with experience using earth
system models such as the NCAR CESM and strong programming and communication skills.
Applicants should send a curriculum vita, statement of research interest, and

starting date of the position is flexible, but could be as early as January 1,
2014. The position is renewable for up to three years.</p>
