<p class="MsoPlainText">The Bowdoin College Department of Earth and Oceanographic Science invites applications for a one-year, full-time Visiting Assistant Professor position to begin July 1, 2014. The selected applicant will teach three courses; one of the
three courses will be Research in Mineral Science, a capstone research course for the major offered at the advanced level (juniors and seniors) in the spring semester. The two additional courses will be taught at the intermediate-level within the candidate's
specialty; one of these courses will have a weekly laboratory section. Expertise might include economic geology, geochemistry, geophysics, mineralogy, petrology, structural geology or volcanology. Mentoring undergraduate students in honors and independent-study
research is expected. Ph.D. required.<o:p></o:p></p>
