<p>The Department of Geosciences at Stony Brook University invites
applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor faculty position
within any specialty of the general field of Geochemistry. We seek a
candidate with the potential to augment or build upon one or more of the
department's current research strengths in crystal chemistry,
environmental geochemistry, experimental geochemistry, isotope
geochemistry, low temperature geochemistry and theoretical geochemistry
and who will be an effective teacher in undergraduate and graduate
courses in the areas of geochemistry and general geology, hydrogeology,
mineralogy or planetary science. Details of the department's areas of
