biogeochemical cycling of organic carbon, inorganic carbon and associated
elements; trace element and/or radioisotope cycling in the marine environment;
chemical oceanographic aspects of climate change; utilization of modern
chemical instrumental techniques and novel chemical approaches; sensor
technology; international, multi-disciplinary chemical oceanography programs;
development of innovative regional investigations of global chemical processes;
and application of chemical techniques and technologies for regional coastal
observing. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the
teaching and mentoring mission of the College by teaching classes within OCNG
in his/her specialty, and in support of the College's program in Environmental
