for a NSERC Tier 2 Canada</span></p>
<p style="margin-left:0in;text-indent:0in"><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">Research Chair (CRC) in Environmental Biology and Ecology at the
Assistant or Associate</span></p>
<p style="margin-left:0in;text-indent:0in"><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">Professor level, to commence July 1, 2014. The successful Tier 2
CRC applicant should be an</span></p>
<p style="margin-left:0in;text-indent:0in"><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">excellent and emerging world-class researcher who demonstrates the
potential to play a</span></p>
<p style="margin-left:0in;text-indent:0in"><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">leadership role and achieve international recognition in his/her
field, and is expected to propose</span></p>
<p style="margin-left:0in;text-indent:0in"><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">an original and innovative research program in environmental
biology and have the potential to</span></p>
<p style="margin-left:0in;text-indent:0in"><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">attract excellent trainees. The successful candidate must be
eligible for prompt appointment to</span></p>
<p style="margin-left:0in;text-indent:0in"><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">the Faculty of Graduate Studies.</span></p>

University include the</span></p>
<p style="margin-left:0in;text-indent:0in"><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">ecological effects of multiple stressors including invasive
species, pollution, climate change,</span></p>
<p style="margin-left:0in;text-indent:0in"><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">Arctic ecology, and pollinator biology. The incumbent is expected
to contribute to and enhance</span></p>
<p style="margin-left:0in;text-indent:0in"><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">the world-class research activities and institutional programs in
the Ecology and Evolution group</span></p>
<p style="margin-left:0in;text-indent:0in"><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">in the Department of Biology and the Faculty of Science, and to
interact with colleagues in the</span></p>
<p style="margin-left:0in;text-indent:0in"><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">Faculty of Environmental Studies, Institute for Research and
Innovation in Sustainability, and</span></p>
<p style="margin-left:0in;text-indent:0in"><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">the Department of Geography. We are interested in environmental
biology and ecology research</span></p>
<p style="margin-left:0in;text-indent:0in"><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">at scales ranging from genomes to ecosystems. We encourage

leadership at the</span></p>
