Dear colleagues,

The UEF Aerosol Physics Group (http://www.uef.fi/en/web/aerosol) is a dynamic and enthusiastic research group working in international collaborative projects, on topics related to atmospheric aerosol formation, transformation and interaction with water vapor. We are currently inviting postdoc applications from motivated postdocs with a background in aerosol physics, atmospheric/environmental sciences, organic chemistry, or mass spectrometry for the projects described more detailed below.

1) Postdoctoral researcher for studying the particle phase reactions, non-ideality and phase separation in SOA. The postdoctoral researcher would develop and use modelling methods for interpretation of laboratory experiments and atmospheric observations. (Contact: Taina Yli-Juuti; taina.yli-juuti at uef.fi<mailto:taina.yli-juuti at uef.fi>)

2) Postdoctoral researcher to study the interactions of anthropogenic emissions and biogenic volatile organic compounds as they form SOA, and the aging of the particles. The postdoc will use primarily FIGAERO-ToF-CIMS in chamber experiments to characterize gas- and particle-phase of SOA. Possibilities to get involved in model studies and instrument development, as well. (Contact: Siegfried Schobesberger;siegfried.schobesberger at uef.fi<mailto:siegfried.schobesberger at uef.fi>)
If you got interested, contact Taina or Siegfried, and send your applications via link:http://www.uef.fi/en/uef/en-open-positions (Position title: “Eight Doctoral Researcher positions”).

Best regards,
Annele
