We invite applications for a 2-year post-doctoral researcher position in climate – carbon cycle interactions at the Department of Earth Sciences of Uppsala University.

The focus will be on linking the large-scale atmospheric circulation and variability to remotely-sensed, in-situ measured and modelled terrestrial carbon flux and storage changes. Within this scope, the exact focus of the research is flexible, providing a unique opportunity for the candidate to develop his/her own original ideas. There will also be the opportunity to engage in teaching/supervising duties.

The successful candidate will work within a dynamic research group studying multiple aspects of climate variability and extremes, and will enjoy regular contacts with colleagues in the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences and Stockholm University.

Sweden offers an excellent research environment and concrete possibilities for career progression after the end of the contract. You will find information about working and living in Sweden at www.uu.se/joinus<http://www.uu.se/joinus>.
