Job Summary/Basic Function

The College of Arts, Education and Sciences at Clarion University is seeking to expand the current temporary faculty pool to teach various undergraduate courses for the 2019 - 2020 and 2020 - 2021 academic years. Applicants in previous pools will have to reapply to be considered. All positions are contingent upon the availability of funding.
Teaching assignments may include, but are not limited to, the following courses: General Biology for non-majors, Principles of Biology, Genetics, Ecology, Cell, Human Anatomy & Physiology, Microbiology, Zoology, Botany, Mycology, Herpetology, Evolution, Biometry, Genomics & Bioinformatics, Wildlife Ecology, Fisheries, Ornithology, Biology of Cancer, Environmental Biology, Virology, Immunology, Pathogenic Microbiology, Physiology: Cell, Animal, and Plant, Pathogenics, Endocrinology, Entomology, Physiological Ecology, Comparative Vertebrate Anatomy, Developmental Biology, Mammalogy, Ecology: Plant, Freshwater, or Wetland, Molecular, Biotechnology, Animal Behavior, and Population Biology

Required Qualifications

M.S. degree in the discipline that is being taught or a related field. The successful candidate must have the ability to teach undergraduate lecture and laboratory courses and completion of a successful interview.

Preferred Qualifications

The candidate must demonstrate a strong commitment to education and have teaching experience, enjoy working closely with students, and have a familiarity with proper laboratory procedures and ethics.
A Ph.D. is preferred; ABD considered.
