Position Information


The University of Maryland Eastern Shore invites resumes for a twelve month, full-time, grant-funded position. The position is subject to availability of funds.

Responsibilities


Lead communication efforts related to the LMRCSC, CREST-CISCEP and leveraged programs such as REU, Geosciences, and assist as needed with communication efforts at the School of Agricultural and Natural Sciences; develop and disseminate outreach materials such as newsletters, brochures, as well as scholarship, fellowship, internship and job opportunities; work with Center Director and staff to prepare briefing materials and press releases as needed; develop content materials for, and maintain the Center's websites and websites of leveraged programs, including social media tools and blogs; present information about the LMRCSC, CREST-CISCEP and leveraged programs at meetings, and outreach events as needed. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications


Master's or Bachelor's degree with at least three years of experience in a communications/outreach capacity. Experience with various communication methods and strategies including developing websites, producing brochures and newsletters, preparing briefing materials, and photography and/or videography.

Preferred Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities


Must have a strong familiarity with Microsoft Suite. Excellent communication skills to include written skills as well as interpersonal skills. Must be organized and detail oriented with a strong customer service focus.
