Northern Vermont University - Assistant Professor of Atmospheric Sciences
The Department of Atmospheric Sciences at Northern Vermont University-Lyndon (formerly Lyndon State College) invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor, to begin in August 2019. The successful candidate will demonstrate college teaching effectiveness, engage undergraduate students in experiential learning, contribute to program development and assessment, and share responsibilities at both the departmental and university level such as advising, serving on committees, and assisting with recruitment.

Job Description:
We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in atmospheric physics, mesoscale meteorology, and/or remote sensing. The new faculty member will teach a variety of undergraduate courses that may include introductory meteorology for majors and non-majors, upper-level remote sensing, mesoscale meteorology, physical meteorology, and senior capstone. Candidates with plans for continued research, publishing (particularly with undergraduate students), and interest in developing internal and external collaborations, are encouraged to apply.

Requirements:
Ph.D. in meteorology, atmospheric sciences, or related areas, with teaching experience at the undergraduate level.

Salary:  Based on qualifications and experience as defined by VSC-VSCFF Agreement; generous benefits package.
