Our next hire at the rank of Lecturer pending budgetary approval, will play a central role in Geosciences’ contribution to Georgia State’s strategic goal of ensuring that students from all backgrounds can achieve academic and career success at high rates. Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching an undergraduate course in weather and climate and graduate courses in his/her area of expertise as well as participating in service at the department, college, and university levels.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

  *   •  Ph.D. at time of hire
  *   •  Previous lecturing experience

Preferred Qualifications

  *   •  Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, diverse setting
  *   •  Student-mentoring experience
  *   •  Experience with effectively engaging diverse students
