[ES_JOBS_NET] Post-doc position at NCAR (Boulder, Colorado) in ensemble hydrological forecasting

NCAR has opened a post-doc position focusing on operational ensemble
hydrological forecasting.  It is a one-year position in the NCAR Research
Applications Laboratory, located in Boulder, Colorado, with a conditional
extension to two years.

The position includes two main thrusts:  1) development of a
watershed-oriented (HUC-based) configuration of WRF-Hydro (used in the US
National Water Model) for application in long-range (S2S) ensemble
forecasting; and 2) development and implementation of modeling and ensemble
techniques, including NWP downscaling, hydrologic data assimilation and
streamflow post-processing, for use in reservoir inflow forecasting in the
western US.

Applicants should be versed in hydrometeorological modeling and model
applications (especially forecasting), and have programming, analysis, and
UNIX/LINUX skills.
