DESCRIPTION
The School of Science at Penn State Behrend may have a need for part-time lecturers in the Department of Environmental Science for Fall (August - December) and Spring (January - May) semesters. Examples of courses and/or subjects taught can include: Environmental Science, Earth Science, Geoscience, Geography, Hydrology, Limnology, Meteorology, and Soils. These positions are dependent upon class enrollments; enrollments of less than 9 students may necessitate canceling the class and the position. Salary is competitive. Responsibilities include using a syllabus and course materials approved by the School of Science to teach courses offered in our baccalaureate programs. Requirements include: a Master of Science degree or higher; evidence of a commitment to excellence in teaching, including use of current technology; and evidence of a commitment to working collegially and with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
