Dear Colleagues
Could you please help me by spreading the word below?

I am looking for two highly motivated, innovative and collaboration-oriented postdocs to join a project focused on understanding how aqueous and cloud chemistry of organic aerosols affects atmospheric evolution and lifetime of secondary organic aerosols (SOA), ultimately affecting the Earth's energy budget.

The project, funded under my recently awarded 2018 DOE Early Career grant, will analyze data from recent field campaigns and laboratory measurements, develop integrative modeling approaches that include new aqueous and cloud SOA formulations based on latest understanding from measurements, include these new processes in a box model and three-dimensional chemical transport model, and diagnose how these processes affect the evolution of SOA.

Both modelers and experimentalists are encouraged to apply.

The successful candidates will join the collaborative, interdisciplinary environment of the Atmospheric Sciences and Global Change (ASGC) Division at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. ASGC leads and contributes to many of DOE's major programs in atmospheric, climate and Earth System sciences, including DOE's Atmospheric System Research Program (ASR), DOE's Energy Exascale Earth System Model (E3SM), the Atmospheric Radiation Measurement (ARM) program and the Environmental Sciences Molecular Laboratory (EMSL) . The project will also offer opportunities for interactions with a strong network of external collaborators.

PNNL offers excellent pay and benefits, and emphasizes work-life balance.

Candidates should apply through the posted job listings by August 6, or until the positions are filled:
Job title 1: Analysis of measurements of SOA formed in particles and clouds:

Job title 2: Modeling aqueous and cloud chemistry of organic aerosols:

Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions about these two postdoctoral positions, or to notify me of the submission of your application, at: ManishKumar.Shrivastava at pnnl.gov<mailto:ManishKumar.Shrivastava at pnnl.gov>

Best regards
