Dear Colleagues,

Please circulate the following job announcement at NCAR to interested
candidates:
https://ucar.silkroad.com/epostings/index.cfm?fuseaction=app.jobinfo&jobid=218308&company_id=15947&version=1&source=ONLINE&JobOwner=992772&startflag=1

Those with physical parameterization expertise are strongly encouraged to
apply. The successful candidate will participate in activities in support
of the Developmental Testbed Center’s (DTC) new Global Model Test Bed
component. These activities include: (a) development of a Common Community
Physics Package (CCPP) initially based on the Global Forecast System (GFS)
physics, (b) development of a Physics Testbed that will provide common
methods and infrastructure for testing, evaluation, and diagnostic studies
of the CCPP, (c) conducting testing and evaluation of new physics
parameterization innovations in collaboration with our partners to support
the transition of new developments to operations, and (d) community support
for the CCPP, the Physics Testbed, and an Inter-operable Physics Driver.
Here the “community” includes developers of global model dynamical cores
and physics schemes.

Applications may be submitted through the provided link.

Thanks,
