The Institute of Geology at the National Autonomous University of Mexico
(UNAM), in Mexico City, invites applications for a full-time tenure track
position of Research Assistant Professor in Stable Isotope Geochemistry. 
We are seeking a young researcher in the field of Stable Isotopes
Geochemistry to contribute to our growing research in the broad area of
stable isotopes in Geoscience. Applicants must have a PhD in geosciences
or related field and experience in a Stable Isotopes laboratory.

The duties of the position include: conduct research projects, apply for
project funding from different agencies, publish research results in
peer-reviewed journals, teach at undergraduate/graduate level, supervise
students and get actively involved with the operation of the Stable
Isotopes Laboratory.

The Stable Isotope Laboratory has state of the art infrastructure,
including two MAT 253 ThermoFisher mass spectrometers with several
peripheral devices (e.g. elemental analyzer, GasBench II, TC-Flash 2000
Elemental Analyzer and Kiel device). The candidate will collaborate in an
active mode with the operation and maintenance of the laboratory. The
laboratory, besides accomplishing its own research projects, gives service
to other researchers, either from the Institute or other research
institutions, and to the government and private sector.

The Institute of Geology has more than 100 years of history and is devoted
to high quality research in Geoscience, teaching and service to public and
private sector. The National Autonomous University of Mexico is the most
important university in Latin America, acknowledged within the academic
world as an excellence institution.
