Hello All,

I would like to share two faculty job postings at Auburn University.

In my department, Geosciences, we are hiring a tenure-track Economic Geologist at the rank of Assistant Professor. Our department has a long history of expertise in Economic Geology and we want to continue that tradition. We are a growing department. A new Ph.D. program in Earth Systems Science has been approved by our Board of Trustees and we expect to start recruiting students for next academic year. We have also added 2 tenure-track lines in the past few years and have plans to add more. The person hired for this position will have the opportunity to shape the trajectory of the department in this respect.

Information about the Department of Geosciences can be found here - http://www.auburn.edu/academic/cosam/departments/geosciences/index.htm.
Several faculty members plan on attending GSA and AGU this fall and will be available to talk with applicants about the position.

The College of Science and Mathematics is hiring a tenure track position for a Discipline Based Education Researcher in Biological Sciences at the rank of Assistant Professor. This position is part of our Dean's initiative to improve STEM education across the college. He has already hired DBER faculty in Geosciences and Physics. Both of these individuals were hired by the Dean, but are active members of their home department.
