The School of Mathematical Sciences at the Rochester Institute of
Technology invites applications for a tenure-track position at the
Assistant Professor level starting in August 2018 in the broad field of
mathematical modeling of Earth systems. Mathematical areas include, but are
not limited to, dynamical systems, high-performance computing, and data
assimilation with applications related to modeling some aspect of or
interactions between physical, biological, or ecological systems.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach graduate and
undergraduate courses in mathematical sciences; develop an
externally-funded research program that includes students in the
Mathematical Modeling Ph.D. program as well as other undergraduate and
graduate students; and contribute to the service requirements of the
School, College of Science, and University
