Two postdoctoral positions are available in the Department of Chemistry
at Syracuse University.

The research will focus on either:
1. microspectroscopy of ice surfaces under atmospherically-relevant
conditions. Experience in Raman microscopy, optical spectroscopy, and
instrument design is preferred (knowledge of heterogeneous atmospheric
reactions is desirable, and experience with analytical techniques,
instrument maintenance, and field studies is beneficial), or

2. field, chamber, and laboratory studies related to indoor chemistry.
The successful candidate will operate several instruments in indoor
locations in Syracuse and other cities to monitor indoor oxidative
chemistry. Laboratory and chamber experiments will be developed and
performed to investigate mechanisms to explain the observations
(experience in gas-phase measurements and field studies is beneficial.)

For consideration, candidates must complete an online confidential brief
faculty application and attach a CV, application letter, and a list of
professional references.

Applicants should specify which position they are applying for in their
application letter. Applicants who meet the required qualifications will
be considered for both positions if they indicate interest.
