*Responsibilities*: The individual selected for this position will manage
the daily activities of the South Central Climate Science Center (CSC).
Responsibilities include:

   - Managing the day-to-day operations of the South Central CSC;
   - Ensuring effective communication and sharing of results among the
   CSC’s consortium members, in service to the Landscape Conservation
   Cooperatives and other external partners in the south-central U.S.;
   - Collecting and assembling information for project reports both
   externally to funding agencies and internally for university purposes;
   - Organizing and facilitating agenda and logistics of CSC-led meetings,
   workshops, internship programs, and other events;
   - Serving on CSC boards or committees and engaging in strategy sessions,
   workshops, and partners’ meetings;
   - Monitoring progress compared to milestones and identifying problems;
   - Participating in the development of projects and proposals;
   - Managing the submission of consortium-led proposals to the DOI/USGS
   annual supplementary project solicitation;
   - Supervising or mentoring undergraduate students; and
   - Conducting CSC-related research as time permits.

*Requirements:* Applicants should have completed a Masters degree in
Ecosystem Sciences, Climatology, Environmental Sciences, Geography,
Zoology, or related fields. Exceptional applicants from other disciplines
will be considered. Proficiency with computer applications, including
Powerpoint, MS-Word, and Excel (or Mac OSX equivalents), is required. The
successful candidate will have exceptional organizational and technical
writing skills. Candidates must demonstrate an ability to use new software
with minimal instruction. The position requires well-developed human
relations and communication skills, including written and oral. Applicants
should be motivated, have the ability to complete projects with minimal
supervision, and be able to both serve and lead collegially as a team
player.

*Environment: *The host office for the South Central Climate Science Center
is located in Norman, OK, on the campus of the University of Oklahoma.
