Postdoctoral position studying tree plantations and livelihoods in the
Indian Himalaya at University of Minnesota

I am recruiting for a postdoctoral position to work on a 3-year NASA funded
project examining the impact of tree plantations on rural livelihoods in
India. Details of the position and the application process are available
here: http://z.umn.edu/forgovin
Briefly, we are looking for someone with a PhD in the natural resource
social sciences, broadly conceived, experience with some of the several
research techniques we will be using in the project (e.g. remote sensing,
household livelihood surveys, ethnography, etc.), as well as project and
fieldwork management skills and comfort working in a remote area of a
developing country for several months. The expected start date is in May
2017, and I will begin reviewing applications on March 6th. Please pass
this announcement on to folks who may be interested, and tell them to get
in touch with me if they have any questions.
