Salary:                        £33,574 to £52,219

Environmental Engineering and Science (EES) at Newcastle University is seeking a motivated individual who has the potential for being a world-leading researcher and teacher. We are especially interested in candidates with strong research track records as well as the capacity to contribute to cross-cutting projects within our school, and work with national-international academic and industrial co-operators.

Current major EES research themes include energy and resource production/conservation in water and waste processing; trace organic, heavy metal, and genetic pollution in the environment; sanitation in emerging and developing countries; and ecology, molecular microbiology and environmental chemistry. We are interested in candidates from any area of expertise, but particular opportunity exists for individuals who successfully integrate basic science into waste recovery, reuse and management solutions that achieve local and global sustainability.

You will teach in our civil engineering undergraduate programme and modules in the EE MSc programme You should hold a PhD (or equivalent) in a relevant area, and have the potential for Chartered engineer status in the UK.
We will consider flexible packages, and a start date as soon as possible is anticipated.

The post is available full time and is open ended
