The International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) is soliciting applications from registered PhD students who would like to spend 1 year in residence in Kathmandu, Nepal doing atmospheric research over the Hindu Kush Himalaya (HKH) region. Within this broad call for applicants (attached), I am looking for 1 highly-motivated student who has experience processing emissions information and can work with a hodgepodge of national emissions inventory data from across the HKH to produce a gridded, model-ready inventory for chemical transport modeling. The ideal candidate would have completed 2 years of PhD research, have strong computational skills, and have an interest in environmental issues in South Asia. If you are specifically interested in the emissions-modeling fellowship, please contact Prakash Bhave <prakash.bhave at icimod.org<mailto:prakash.bhave at icimod.org>>. General queries about the fellowship program may be directed to the ICIMOD Human Resources department by accessing the online job advertisement at http://www.icimod.org/?q=24236. Deadline for applications is November 30, 2016.
